변화를 거듭하는 텔스타, 그리고 나 

Telstar and I continue to change

저성장 시대에 접어들었습니다. 국가나 기업, 조직의 성장을 나타내는 지표들은 뒷걸음치 고 있습니다. 모두가 성장보다는 안정, 유지에 집중하며 다양한 분야에서의 변화를 기대하 거나 두려워하고 있습니다. 기업의 상황은 더 욱 민첩합니다. 몸집을 줄이거나 비용을 삭감 시키거나 어떻게 해서든 어려움을 헤쳐 나가 기 위해 안간힘을 쓰고 있습니다. 이러한 시 대에 새로운 변화를 거듭하고 있는 텔스타를 보면, 나는 조직원으로서 변화에 적응하고 있 는 사람일까요? 생각해보면 저의 답은 ‘ing’입니다. “이 세상에 보장된 것은 아무것도 없으며 오 직 기회만 있을 뿐이다.” 제가 좋아하는 더글러스 맥아더의 명언입니 다. 기회는 사람이 만들지요. 새로운 목표를 정하면 계획을 세우고, 조직을 그리고, 그에 맞는 사람들을 찾습니다. 대부분 이런 상황에 서는 믿을 만한 사람을 찾게 마련입니다. 누 군가가 믿을 수 있다거나, 믿을 법한 결과를 만들었거나, 여러 명이 동일하게 칭찬하거나 등등. 자신의 주변에 새로운 기회가 있고, 그 기회는 내가 만드는 것이라고 생각합니다. 그 래서 저는 앞으로도 더욱 노력하는 사람이 될 것입니다. 다사다난했던 한 해가 가고 있습니다. 어떤 때 는 참 힘겹기도 하고, 어떤 때는 참 행복하기 도 했던 2020년이었습니다. 얼마 남지 않은 올해를 잘 마무리하고, 내년에도 모든 텔스타 인들이 행복한 한 해를 보내길 소망합니다

We have entered an era of low growth. Indicators of the growth of countries, companies or organizations are taking a back step. Everyone focuses on stability and maintenance rather than growth. We all either expect or worry about changes in a variety of fields. Companies’ situations are more sensitive. Somehow, we are trying hard to get through the difficulties by reducing size of organization and costs. As looking at Telstar, which is constantly undergoing new changes in this era, am I a person who is adapting to change as an employee? My answer is ‘-ing’, if I think about the answer. “There is no security on this earth, there is only opportunity.” This is my favorite quote from General Douglas MacAr thur. People are the ones making opportunities. When people set new goals, they devise plans, make organizations, and find the right people. Most people find credible person in such situation. Those people are the ones that are credible, made a trustworthy result, or applauded by various people. I think new opportunities are nearby us, and such opportunities are made by us. Thus, I pledge to become a person who does his best in the future. This eventful year is passing by. Year 2020 was sometimes very difficult and sometimes very happy for me. I hope that we all happily finish this year, which only has few days left, and have a happy new year for all Telstarians next year.
